Abstract
Land is a small form of the earth's surface that directly deal with
the atmosphere and the lithosphere is formed of many phases (material, the rest
of the decaying organic material, water and gas). Soil is a material that is
dynamic and is a complex system, consisting of inorganic components, organic
and biotic which has a capacity that is conducive to the survival of tumbuhan. Dekomposition
litter is physically and chemically changes the simple by soil microorganisms
(bacteria, fungi, and other land animals). The purpose of this lab to know the
structure and size in the cross-section of land, knowing fauna in the
cross-section of land, knowing the process - the process of decomposition, and
identify factors - factors that affect decomposition. Lab work is done in the
area that vegetation area and non vegetation
area in around the parking integrated laboratory center UIN Syarif Hidayatullah
Jakarta. Methods used the with the hand of sorting and sampling. The results
showed that the percentage of damage litter and mix on the location of the
largest non vegetation that is 45% while in the area of vegetation by 40%. Then
the mass is greater decomposition on the location of vegetation 51.19% due to abiotic
factors, namely the weather. While the measurement of abiotic factors have high
humidity in the location of vegetation, with the support of temperature and
soil pH is normal. The conclusion is a cross-sectional structure of the soil
shows different soil conditions have a different characteristics. The
decomposition process characterized by reduced weight of the mass of litter
gradually degraded. Factors affecting the decomposition among the levels of
litter, litter size, temperature, humidity, flora and fauna of microorganisms
and chemical content of the litter.
Key words : Abiotic, Damage litter, Degradation, Decomposition, Soil
